Body ECU Controlled Door Lock Control System Functions

The door lock control system that is controlled by the body ECU in the MPX has the following functions. Some functions can be customized with the hand-held tester. The functions covered by the system vary depending on the model, grade and area.
See “Function” in “Outline” for the functions that are same as the door lock control system controlled by the integration relay.
1. Collision door lock release function
When the airbag deploys, this function automatically unlocks all doors to facilitate escape and rescue operation in an emergency.
2. Ignition switch-linked automatic door unlock function
When the driver’s door is closed, turning the ignition switch from the ON to LOCK position and opening the driver’s door within 10 seconds will automatically unlock all doors.

3. Shift-linked automatic door unlock function (customizable)
When the ignition switch is in the ON position, shifting the shift lever to P from any of the other positions will automatically unlock all doors.
4. Shift-linked automatic door lock function (customizable)
When the conditions below are met consecutively, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked.
The ignition switch is turned from the LOCK or ACC position to the ON position.
All doors are closed.
The shift lever is not in P.
Any of the doors is unlocked.
5. Speed-sensitive automatic door lock function (customizable)
When the conditions below are met consecutively, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked.
Vehicle speed is higher than 20 km/h (13mph).
All doors are closed.
The shift lever is not in P or N.
Any of the doors is unlocked.
