1.Transmitter and transmitter battery replacement (key separate type)
NOTICE:
Since all the parts are precision electronic parts, be sure to handle with great care.
Do not alter the terminal shape.
(1)Using a precision Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the transmitter battery.
(2)With the positive side facing up, install the transmitter battery on the transmitter.
(3)Check that the O-ring is not twisted or out of position, and install the cover using a precision Phillips-head screwdriver.
Replacement of the key all-in-one type transmitter battery is same procedure as that for the door key separate type. Remove the cover first and then remove the transmitter battery and O-ring from the built-in transmitter. Also, since the O-ring is a non-reusable part (supplied with a transmitter battery as a set), when replacing the transmitter battery, also replace the O-ring with a new one.
(4)After replacing the transmitter, register the recognition code. (The registration of the recognition code is performed by operating the ignition key cylinder and opening and closing the driver’s door.
The rewriting method for the recognition code varies depending on the models. Refer to the Repair Manual for details.
When replacing the transmitter whose recognition code cannot be rewritten, replace also the ROM in the door control receiver at the same time as a set.
