The wireless door lock remote control system is a system that sends out signals from the transmitter that is built in the key or key holder to lock/unlock the doors even when away from the vehicle. When the door control receiver receives the signal sent out by the transmitter, it sends the operation signal to the integration relay.
The integration relay controls the door lock motors upon receiving the operation signal. In addition to this function, the integration relay has automatic lock function, repeat function, answer back function, and other functions.
The functions of the wireless door lock remote control system vary depending on the models, grades and areas.
Function
The wireless door lock remote control system has the following functions. The functions of the wireless door lock remote control system vary depending on the models, grades and areas.
1.All doors lock/unlock function
Pressing the LOCK switch or the UNLOCK switch of the transmitter locks or unlocks all the doors.
2.Two-step unlock function
Pressing the UNLOCK switch twice within three seconds opens all doors after the driver’s door is unlocked.
3.Answer back function
The hazard lights flash once when locking and twice when unlocking to inform that the operation has been completed.
4.Transmitter operation check function
When pressing the door lock/unlock or luggage door opener switch of the transmitter, the operation indicator light comes on to inform that the system is transmitting. However, if the battery is dead, the light does not come on.
5.Luggage door open function
Keeping the luggage door opener switch of the transmitter pressed longer than approx. one second opens the luggage door.
6.Power window open/close function
If the door unlock/lock switch is pressed for approx. 2.5 seconds or more with the key not inserted into the ignition key cylinder, all the door windows can be opened or closed. The power window open/close operation* continues while the switch is pressed and the operation stops when the switch is not pressed.
* Some models have no close function.
7.Panic alarm function
Keeping the door lock or panic switch of the transmitter pressed longer than approx. two to three seconds activates the theft deterrent system (horn sounds, headlights, taillights, and hazard lights flash).
HINT:
The door lock switch push type has no power window close function.
8.Interior light function
The interior lights turn on for approx. 15 seconds at the same time when the doors are unlocked by the transmitter switch operation.
9.Automatic lock function
If none of the doors are opened within 30 seconds after they are unlocked by the transmitter switch operation, all the doors are locked.
10.Repeat function
If a door is not locked in response to the locking operation of the transmitter, the integration relay will output a lock signal after 1 second.
11.Door ajar warning function
If any door is open or ajar, pressing the door lock switch of the transmitter will cause the wireless door lock buzzer to sound for approx. 10 seconds.
12.Security function
Rolling code that changes in a constant law is used in a part of the radio wave transmitted from the transmitter. The door control receiver stores the rolling code when receiving the signal from the transmitter, and uses the code to check with the vehicle’s own code when receiving the next radio wave from the transmitter so as to improve the security. To prevent the door from being unlocked by operating the door lock control switch (for manual operation) with a bar or equivalent in the space between the door glass and door frame when the window is left open, performing the lock operation by the transmitter (including automatic lock function) will set the door lock security function and prohibit the unlock operation by the door control switch (for manual operation).
13.Transmitter recognition code registration function
Enables the registering (writing and storing) of four of the transmitter recognition codes in the EEPROM that is contained in the door control receiver. In the case of rewriting the recognition code, checking the number of registration codes, or losing the transmitter, the recognition codes can be erased and the wireless door lock remote control function can be invalidated.
Some models allow registration of a maximum of eight recognition codes.
